CNBC at VivaTech 2024: Shaping the Future of Technology and Business
International business leaders gather at VivaTech in Paris, to connect on industry trends

From May 22nd to May 25th, Paris hosted VivaTech 2024, Europe's premier startup and tech event, drawing in tech and business leaders from around the world. The event attracted over 150,000 visitors, 2,900 exhibitors, and 500 speakers. At CNBC, we were present in full force, taking the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and decision-makers, engaging in conversations that matter.
In its 8th year, VivaTech 2024 spotlighted three major themes currently dominating the tech landscape: Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Tech and Intelligent Mobility. CNBC was at the heart of the excitement; Through interviews, live coverage and reporting, CNBC facilitated and participated in key moments across the 3-day event.
Engaging with Leaders in Technology
With big tech dominating news headlines, CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin, Karen Tso, Arjun Kharpal and Ryan Browne were reporting live on the ground engaging with industry experts, government officials, and CEOs from the tech world.
With a spotlight on France, the team spoke to the country’s Minister of State for Digital Affairs and Finance Minister as well as President Emmanuel Macron, who sat down exclusively with Andrew Ross Sorkin to discuss AI, geopolitics and the economy.
On-air highlights included interviews with business leaders from Manpower Group, Orange, Publicis, Shopify, Builder.ai and Alibaba Cloud.

CNBC also unveiled CNBC Tech, the home of unparalleled coverage of technology on CNBC International. CNBC Tech features technology reporting that provides intelligence, analysis, and insights across TV, digital platforms, and events.
Increased coverage of technology will include a new-look 30-minute TV show, ‘CNBC Tech: The Edge’, expanded digital coverage including original videos on CNBC.com and social media, and our weekly podcast, ‘CNBC Tech: Beyond the Valley’.

Pippa Scaife VP Global Partnerships Advertising and Partnerships took to the stage at the CMO Forum, exploring the 'Future of Advertising' alongside representatives from Deliveroo, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Zeta Global. Pippa discussed how NBCUniversal leverages technology like AI and machine learning for enhanced targeting and measurement.
