Minecraft x Universal Studios Experience Brings Beloved Theme Park Rides Into Your Home

Minecraft x Universal Studios Experience has created an all-new virtual world that combines legendary attractions and experiences inspired by Universal Destinations & Experiences around the world as well as throughout the theme parks’ history. This DLC (downloadable content) features attractions and experiences inspired by all Universal Destinations & Experiences around the world from Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Beijing Resort, Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Singapore.
“Our collaboration with Minecraft over the past 4 years has enabled fans and game players alike to adventure, craft, build, and create in worlds highlighting favorite franchises from Jurassic World to How to Train Your Dragon and beyond,” said Bill Kispert, SVP & GM, Games & Digital Platforms at Universal Products & Experiences. The Universal Studios Experience DLC: A Virtual Theme Park Adventure
You’ll start your adventure at the gates of Universal Studios, where Woody Woodpecker will greet users and ask for help in restoring the iconic Universal Studios globe. As you venture forward, players will experience rides, shops, minigames and encounter characters like Shrek, Dracula, King Kong, and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. There are eight different islands to explore including Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Amity Island, Hill Valley, Lower Lot, Jurassic World and Skull Island.

Universal Studios Experience – Minecraft Quest
Between all of the attractions hides a quest – some of the letters have disappeared from Minecraft’s Universal Studios Globe and there’s quite the reward for the explorer who finds them all. Players will head out on an adventure across the virtual theme park, completing film-themed minigames to advance. Sneaking past Velociraptors, diving for treasure amongst sharks and hoverboard racing back in time create quite the challenge, but fan favorite characters like Frankenstein’s Monster, Puss in Boots, Shrek or Woody Woodpecker can help.
