Deepak Arya
Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development
Deepak Arya is Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Development at NBCUniversal where he focuses on key growth imperatives from a corporate perspective, driving business development initiatives, enterprise-level partnerships and M&A/investment activities across the portfolio. In this role, he works closely with our leadership team to help shape the long-term strategic direction of the company.
Deepak joined NBCUniversal from JPMorgan in 2008 where he served as Vice President of Investment Banking in the Media & Telecom Group in New York, advising media clients on corporate finance issues including M&A and debt & equity financing.
Prior to JPMorgan, Deepak served as Industry Specialist at McKinsey & Company’s Media & Entertainment Practice in New York and New Delhi, advising media companies on their business strategies.
Previously, he was Principal Correspondent at Business Standard, a Financial Times affiliate and leading news-media conglomerate in India, where he reported on media & telecom sectors as a business journalist.
Deepak serves on the board of directors of New York International Children’s Film Festival, a non-profit organization that supports the creation and dissemination of thoughtful, provocative and diverse films and organizes the prestigious Oscar-qualifying film festival for children, teens and families.
Deepak is a graduate of St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He received his Master of Arts in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School.
